Terms of service
These terms cover your use of dispatchedhome.com and of the Dispatched tools inside AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. By using either, you agree to them. They describe what the service does today.
What Dispatched is
Dispatched is a service commerce network. We help you describe a home service job, find businesses that may cover it, compare what they offer, and pass an appointment request to a business you choose. We are not a home service provider. We do not perform cleaning, plumbing, heating and cooling, electrical, or any other work on your home.
Who performs the work and who is responsible
- The business performs
- An independent home service business does the work, sets its own price, schedule, and terms, and is responsible for the quality, safety, licensing, insurance, and legality of what it does.
- The business is merchant of record
- Where money changes hands, the business is generally the merchant of record and contracts with you directly. Dispatched is not a party to that contract.
- Dispatched is the network
- We are responsible for the accuracy of what we tell you about our own service: what a result is, whether it is sample or live, whether anything has been sent, and whether anything has been confirmed.
A request is not a booking
When you ask for a service, Dispatched creates a non binding appointment request. A request records what you want and when you would prefer it. It is not an offer, not an acceptance, and not a booking. Nothing is reserved and no business is obliged to do anything until that business confirms in its own system.
- No business is contacted without your explicit authorization.
- Selecting an option is not booking it. Opening a payment page is not paying. Paying is not a confirmed booking.
- A booking is confirmed only when the business’s own system confirms it, and we will say so plainly when it does.
- An open request expires after 72 hours if nothing happens, and you can cancel it before then from its status link.
Sample results
Where no business is connected for what you asked, results are clearly labelled sample. Sample prices and availability are illustrative. They were not checked against any business’s system, nothing can be booked from them, and they are not an offer. We label this in the result itself, every time.
Payments and cancellation
Dispatched does not ask for card or bank details in the conversation. If payment is ever required before a booking, it happens on a separate secure page bound to the exact option you chose, and it shows the business as merchant of record before you pay. Prices, cancellation windows, fees, and refunds are set by the business and are shown to you before you authorize anything. Cancellations and refunds are handled under the business’s terms; we pass your cancellation through and tell you the outcome truthfully.
Dispatched is free for the people who use it to find services, and free for home service businesses to join.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Dispatched for anything unlawful, or to arrange work that is unlawful or unsafe;
- submit a request you do not intend, impersonate someone, or use another person’s contact details;
- scrape, overload, probe, or attempt to bypass the rate limits, authorization checks, or access controls;
- attempt to make the assistant misrepresent whether something is sample or live, whether a business was contacted, or whether anything was booked or charged;
- resell or redistribute the service or its data without our written permission.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or threatens the service or its users.
Using Dispatched inside an AI assistant
When you use Dispatched through ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another assistant, that platform’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of that platform. We are responsible for the Dispatched tools and the answers they return. We are not responsible for the assistant’s own behaviour, and an assistant’s paraphrase of a result does not change the result. Where they differ, the structured result Dispatched returned is what counts.
Availability and warranties
The service is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that a business will be available for your job, in your area, at your preferred time, or at any particular price, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dispatched is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the acts, omissions, workmanship, or conduct of any independent home service business. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, for death, or for personal injury caused by negligence. Your dispute about the work itself is with the business that performed it.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms. Material changes get a new version number and effective date on this page, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept them. You can stop using Dispatched at any time, and you can cancel an open request from its status link.
